We held a special edition Sunday meeting to work on the shooter, which had the poor manners to not fit onto the robot correctly at the end of the marathon session Saturday. It's now behaving itself, and shoots into the goal quite nicely from about 16 feet back.
The software folks also met to work on the encoder-assisted driving. That wasn't so coopertive. We have some work left to do there.

One week to ship… oh goodness gracious. Well another article was published today in our favorite, the King County Journal, so everyone should check that out. On today's agenda was some electronics work as well as softwaring away! John soldered more ends for the OI box while Elyse prettified the sheet to go on top of the box telling everyone which LED and switch does or means what. A few more wires got made to go the drive motors, which will be permanent now, no more switching of wires there. The last of the elevator parts were fabricated, along with some modifications for mounting signs.
Spirit departed and worked on top-secret (well not so much anymore) valentine's for everyone. Back in A-8, the rest of the team assembled the elevator and worked out some more kinks in it. Happy V-day tomorrow!

Oh cupid's arrow, how it has hit our hearts. I think every kid on the team recieved a sing a gram over the past few days. We also decked Erik out in a very spirity outfit, kind of amazing, while Caitlin made fun little crowns and rings from pipecleaners, so versatile. Elyssa and Elyse brought cupcakes/ cake, too, while the girl squad had made valentine's. Erik also slaved over some very pretty lil valentine's for all the girls, too.
But down to business, today was designated driver practice, but there were lots of little things that needed to get done before the robot was ready. Cathy marked some holes so we can now mount the electronics board to the robot, well after we make some holes in the chassis, too, but we're halfway there.
After driving, mechanism got to work finishing the elevator and starting work the troughs. Electronics made more progress on our OI that's going to be even cooler than last year's.
